Thank you for being here...
You might be wondering what is about my photograph...I can’t really find an appropriate sentence to describe the style of mine...But I can share with you what attracts me…Because I believe a good way to start is what attracts me , attracts you too…
It is the genuineness of love...
Before I went into documenting relationships , I never have thought of this as a path to fulfil...
photography to me at the very beginning is about lights , scene , colour tone , equipment or unique angle...
This changes after a few years，I found out that, it is actually the genuine connection between the relationship that kept me going on and on...
Communicating is just as important
I learned along the way , communicating is as essential as what is needed for photography...
We need to know each other as much as possible to be photogenic…
As we always aim to be natural , but natural is too subjective to be harmonise...
By getting familiar with you , I gain understanding on what is natural to you, and it also make those body language sensible...
I can’t presume that every relationship connect the same way...Hugs , kisses , laying on each other lap this is commonly how they connect , but what if you don’t connect this way , this is becoming awkward for you...So I will observe and documenting the detail that belongs to you...
And this is part of the reason why I hope I could share my characters with you ...
I am talkative , in a way I wish I can ease all mist of you about me during a photography session ...
This session is a souvenir of your memories , you won’t want yourself to be misty for the entire session of what the photographer is up for...
Your mind should have space to bring in memories that happens on that day or recall memorable one from the past...
What I can’t provide you is your mood on that day….
Framing , lights , location , I can do adjustment to all mention , but not how you enjoy your day…
I kept this word ‘ Impression ‘ very close to me on my journey of photography….This is inspired on a solemnisation ceremony many year ago…
I overheard the conversation of the Justice of Peace saying this to a groom who is still busying arranging setup , when he is about to meet his bride…The JP says to the groom ,
‘ You should focus on your bride instead , you will not want to look back at photo or video of you during this moment thinking of something else…’
Impression do play a big part , but in the end it is love that make it count…
You will feel for this image , because what attracts me , attracts you too …
But most importantly they are your love , your family , your friends …
What I can do is to create the space for you and your love , family and friends to connect …
Go to them , words may get a little choke , hug will get a little tighter , but this is the moment to look back on…
Slow yourself down , spend some time with this people who coloured your life…
If I am ask what is the best content , shots of this connection inspire me most…
